Terpene Profile

A terpene profile is the lab-tested list of which terpenes a batch carries and at what percentages — the closest thing flavor has to a spec sheet. Only some vendors pay for terpene testing, which itself is signal: publishing a profile costs money and invites comparison. Reading one is simple: total terpene content around 1% is average, 2%+ is loud, and the top three compounds tell you the flavor direction. The profile also outs lazy strain naming — a “Gelato” with a profile nothing like Gelato’s typical top notes is a renamed something else, a quiet industry habit.
