Live Resin

Live resin is extracted from plant material frozen at harvest instead of dried and cured, preserving volatile terpenes that curing burns off. The result is concentrate with unusually loud, fresh flavor — its entire reason to exist and to cost more. In the THCA market, live resin appears both as dab-able extract and in carts. The lab-report rules do not relax for it: a finished-product COA covering potency and residual solvents is the minimum, since most live resin is hydrocarbon-extracted. “Live” on a label without paperwork behind it is a flavor claim wearing a lab coat.
