Distillate

Distillate is cannabinoid oil refined until little remains but the cannabinoid itself — potent, shelf-stable, nearly flavorless, and the cheap workhorse inside carts, edibles, and infused products. Flavor in a distillate product comes from terpenes added back afterward, botanical or cannabis-derived. It is not a lesser product so much as a commodity one: what you lose against live resin is character, what you gain is consistency and price. Where scrutiny belongs: distillate’s neutrality makes it easy to cut or mislabel, so the finished product’s COA — potency plus what was added — is doing all the verification work.
