Drug tests look for THC-COOH, the metabolite your body produces after THC exposure — and heated THCA is THC exposure, full stop. THCA flower, carts, and hemp-derived Δ9 edibles all produce the same metabolite as dispensary cannabis, and a standard urine screen cannot tell them apart; detection windows run from days for light use to weeks or more for heavy use, varying by body and test. The “it’s legal hemp” argument does not move an employer’s lab result.
